New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
I have been an active part of our Santa Maria Valley since 1992. I have volunteered with the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter, Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, Central Coast SPCA, YMCA, Pine Grove Robotics Club, National MS Society, and GALs. I am also a member of the Orcutt Academy School Advisory Council.
Hancock College needs a trustee who understands education from the inside out. I started out as a Hancock student, earned degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, and Liberal Arts, and launched my career at my favorite stomping grounds in Hancock's Business Services Department. As a campus employee, I was an active problem solver on many councils and committees. I worked with my peers on eco-friendly projects like EV chargers and solar panels. I was also a steering committee member and participant of the LEAP mentoring program.
After 12 years, I left Hancock to work for Santa Barbara Unified School District, where I oversee the payroll department and over $150 million in annual payroll expenditures. I understand the value of our tax dollars and the duty to spend responsibly. Dollars count, and experience matters.
Elect me to continue providing Hancock students and staff with a safe and supportive learning and working environment. I'm here for everyone.
